Our guest Mick Hughes, M. Sports Physio, B. Physio, B. Ex. Sci APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist is the co-founder of Learn.Physio and an APA titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist. After spending 6 years in Melbourne and consulting at the Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre, he relocated to Townsville QLD in 2022 with his wife and young family and now consults at the North Queensland Physiotherapy Centre. He has a strong clinical interest in ACL injury prevention and rehabilitation, seeing approximately 15-20 ACL injured patients a week.
With his passion of improving outcomes in ACL injured patients, he helped develop the Melbourne ACL Rehabilitation Guide with Learn.Physio co-founder, and APA titled Specialist Sports Physiotherapist, Randall Cooper. In the last few years he has also been involved in 3 ACL research projects and has lectured and mentored under-graduate students at JCU and post-grad students at UQ and La Trobe Universities.
